Emotional FreedomTechnique

 

 

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also commonly referred to as Tapping, is a blend of modern psychology and Chinese medicine. From the Chinese medicine standpoint, we are working with the meridian system, which is an energetic circuitry that maps itself throughout the entire body. When there is any degree of trauma, emotional or physical, this circuitry can become blocked. By simultaneously tapping on specific meridian points (some of the same points used in acupuncture), drawing upon negative emotional patterns, and repeating positive mantras, you are able to clear the blockage and experience relief.

Tapping can be used on a wide variety of physical, emotional
and mental challenges arising from something as simple as
everyday stress to more complicated chronic pain disorders,
from weight loss to severe childhood trauma. Studies have
shown that Tapping has also been successful with alleviating
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder by reducing the impact of
memories that trigger emotional distress.  
By clearing out the trauma connected to these memories, the nervous system is able to rebalance. This enables the physical, mental and emotional components to release and reset.

EFT/Tapping works by clearing the disruptions in the energy field, and in doing so, it clears out the emotional response and stored intensity in the body, mind and spirit. This practice is done by focusing on specific challenges while tapping with the fingers on the end points of meridians. The combination of sending kinetic energy through these points and bringing love and empathy to the negative emotions results in a cleared nervous system and a relaxed mind.
